EARLY YEARS
Jason Fowler, Esq. came into this world on April 27, 1988 at Southern Maryland Hospital in Clinton, Maryland. The candidate was both born and raised in District 27 like his parents before him! He spent his childhood years growing up in Dunkirk and Owings in Calvert County. Like many children, he played various sports in his spare time. He excelled in soccer. The young Mr. Fowler even attended Mount Harmony Elementary school and is still a proud Mustang!
Jason then went on to attend Cardinal Hickey Academy in middle school to pursue his dream of continuing on from there to attend DeMatha High in Prince George’s County. He excelled at CHA, becoming a star soccer player and musician. Jason also got his first foray into politics here when he was elected by his peers to be the Student Body President.
Jason eventually received a music scholarship and was recruited to play soccer at DeMatha High School, fulfilling his childhood dream. There, he enjoyed playing on DeMatha's soccer and golf teams, and grew as a musician. He even secured a coveted position in the select Wind Ensemble for his Junior and Senior years. He also became a member of the Baltimore Ravens Marching Band, and a member of the DC Youth Orchestra. Jason traveled abroad twice for academic programs during his time at DeMatha to Spain and to Austria. Ever the dedicated student, Jason graduated Cum Laude from DeMatha and received numerous scholarship offers to college.
LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL
Deciding to matriculate away from home, Jason attended Eckerd College where he double majored in Linguistics (Spanish, German) and Classics (Latin). He also jumped head first into Eckerd College’s student government and became a leader on the Eckerd Men's Rugby team. For the third time, Jason got the chance to study abroad; this time in Italy.
After the candidate graduated from Eckerd, he was accepted to St. Thomas University, School of Law in Miami, Florida. There, he was accepted to the school’s joint JD/MBA degree program. During his time at St. Thomas U, aside from excelling in a rigorous academic program, Jason was an active and engaged member of the student body, frequently planning collective student activities. He then went on to finish his law degree at the prestigious Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC. Mr. Fowler graduated with his JD and MBA and was sworn into the Maryland Bar, but continued his legal studies at Georgetown, and eventually was awarded the degree of Masters of Law with a special focus in Tax Law. At graduation, Jason was given the honor of being chosen among his peers to give the commencement address at the Georgetown University Law Center ceremony in 2015.
